Howdy. Glad you're here. Get your fill of my irreverent ramblings. I'll warn you in advance: I complain a lot. But if you can get past that, there's some good stuff here. Enjoy.

St. Patrick's Day

Being of Irish decent, I love St. Patrick's Day. The entire purpose of the day is to celebrrate my heritage by drinking Guinness, Irish whisky, and maybe a little green beer just for good measure. Now, St. Patty's ususally falls on the 17th, but apparently this year the Vatican pushed the date of the celebrtion back to the 15th. Something about Irish people getting hammered in celebration of thier saint (don't they get hammered all the time? That's what Hollywood tells me) didn't really mesh well with the begining of one of the most holy weeks of the year. Fair 'nough. Anyway, that means that celebrating the holiday a little early is 100% acceptable. I'm thinking we should all celebrate it twice...

On the St. Patty's note, I was recently reminded of Proposition 3-17. Leave it to the marketing geniuses at Guinness to come up with this one. Guinness would like to make St. Patty's an official holiday in the US. The kicker is that they need to have 1 million signatures on their electronic petition by midnight on March 16th. I signed it... half the fun is trying to figure out how to make your signature look decent signing with your mouse. I would love to see this happen, but i think it still needs over 800,000 people to sign... You know what to do.
